Could It Be The Luck of The Irish or Just Plain Blarney? -
Sure and begorra, March is the month to go green and wish for
that promised pot o' gold at end of the rainbow on the 17th,
right? Well, this year "17" will be a lucky number for more
than the Irish as Midwest party planners and party suppliers
head out to their 17th annual industry Expo to meet, greet and
welcome home Expo founder, Patty Sachs.
Patty Sachs, producer/creator of the first Twin Cities Event
Expo back in the spring of 1990 will make a special appearance
and participate in this year's 17th Event Planners & Suppliers
Expo, scheduled for Wednesday, March 5th, 2008 at the
Metropolitan Event Center in Golden Valley. This will be the
first time in 17 years that Sachs, a veteran planner/producer,
speaker, and author of event planning guides will join the
Minnesota exhibitors and attendees for this one-day event. She
will represent her company InstantPhotoFrames.com
After her inaugural creation of this special event in 1990,
which received raves by those in the industry, Sachs moved her
business to Florida and Brad Gudim, an Event Expo vendor in
the 1990 show, went on to produce this annual showcase and
networking expo, for the past 16 years.
"We are so happy to have Patty back with us to generate a
little nostalgia along with her trademark enthusiasum,."Gudim
added. "We know our party planners will be thrilled to see her
again and gain some of her knowledge on new trends and tips on
how to make your St.Pat's "Party Perfect" and any size event -
Special ". He continued, "20 years ago, she was way ahead of
her time - with her shows and party books, she gave a jump
start to the Twin Cities event planning business, which has
since grown into a major industry here."
Ms Sachs now serves as a consultant and advisor to both hosts
and planners through her website www.InstantPhotoFrames.com,
and continues to write articles and give interviews on
party/wedding planning. Patty says, "After two decades away, I
am so happy to be back in the Twin Cities where I can enjoy
family and life-long friends- especially my event/party
planning gang, many who have become driving forces on a
national, even international level," she said. Sachs will be
on hand all day to reunite, reminisce and brainstorm with expo
attendees and vendors.
The show will feature local entertainment suggestions, latest
product and service information, feature exhibitors with tips
on top event and party requirements, and a chance to network
with other industry experts. The event although geared to
event professionals, is open to hosts and committee members
for fund-raisers, reunions and social functions.
